So last week I turned 20....jeez I can't believe I'm already that old! But it's ok because we had a fun time. :)
First we had a little surprise at school. The kids' parents got me cake, chocolate and flowers. I ended up with 4 boxes of chocolates:
And 3 bouquets of flowers:
I got sung happy birthday to all throughout the day (mostly by the coordinator... :P) And the kids kept saying happy birthday to me. :)
Then when we got home Kenzie made me a banner and we hung it up above my bed:
She also made us party hats, but we don't have amazing pictures of them... And of course, when Masha saw the hats she had to have one. And she had to have one for the cat, who was more than thrilled about that.... So when Masha found out it was my birthday she told her mom, who came back with a box of chocolates, which I'm assuming was from her birthday a few days before. Then she went out for a bit and when she came back she and Misha gave me this:
Shoe-shaped baskets and a fish-shaped holder. Pretty cute of them. :)
A couple days after my birthday, Ali (one of my favorite kids, bad to have favorites? oh well) came into our "lounge" after school and gave me a picture of a balloon and said happy birthday. Then he came back 2 more times with two more pictures of balloons. Then Anya brought me a picture (the one with a heart) and Dasha (one of my other favorites) brought me a little picture of a bunny and carrots. And then, because why should birthday celebrations only last one day, Ali came back the next day with yet another balloon picture. And Kenzie was feeling a little left out so he drew one for her too. Basically, I'm in love with our Basic Reading kids. :)
Then on Thursday I got a birthday card from my parents. What a nice surprise. :)
Thanks for the fun birthday everyone! <3
